Cards by me...

Well I am not a card maker (as you can probably tell!!), but I still have a go every now and again.  A while ago I was playing with some papers that I had in my stash and decided to make a couple of cards.

There was a bit of fussy cutting in this card to cut out the flowers but I do love the effect.  I just love the saying too.  This is a great saying for a Mother's Day card.

This was a very quick and easy card to throw together.  I used a Darkroom Door Robot Photo Chip that I had in my stash.  I then used distressing tools to scratch up the image.  The Photo Chips are great to have in your stash.

Just love Tim's Work

One of my favourite blogs to watch is that of the wonderful Mr Tim Holtz.  He is so inspirational.  Every time I watch his blog I just want to go and scrap.  In his blog he made this cute mini book out of 1 piece of 12 x 12 pattered paper and some of his Tissue Tape.  I had to try it.

So this is my attempt.  I am really happy with it.  It is still a work in progress but I just had to show what I have done so far.  I can see that I will be using this technique a few more times.  I think this makes a great little memento book.

Every second page is a little pocket.  I have put in a tag with a great verse stamped on it.  I have also put in a ticket with an important date on it.  I have used a Swivel Clasp to join the front and back cover.

On the back page I have used Type Charms to add a little more dimension.  This little book is just so easy and fun to decorate.

Wow! What a week

Well the last week has been one of ups and downs.  Being in LA to attend CHA was totally amazing.  It is so fantastic to catch up with people in the crafting world.  It still amazes me that these people actually remember me by name.  CHA winter was a lot bigger than summer.   I just loved seeing all the differnt products that are coming up.

I am not sure how we will fit all the new product into the store.   I have to say that my favourite stand was Tim's (duh).  It was full of great designs and uses for his products but also showcased the product clearly.

Just to make things more interesting, my lovely 8 year old son decided that it was the best time, while mummy was away to break his leg.  He did a great job of breaking it too.  Poor little man.  Thank goodness for facebook.  He has a spiral fracture.  We are still waiting to see if it will need a pin.

I am back home now and back into work.  Got so much planned for this year.  Just cannot wait

Thanks for stopping by.
